It was a day of jubilation and high emotions at the Halfway Ford dealership in Port Shepstone last week, as chief operations officer (COO) of Halfway Ford Sicelo Nyandeni handed over a sponsored Ford Ranger Wildtrack to Ukhozi FM’s traffic broadcaster Ayanda Msweli.

“I have no words. My brothers and sisters, allow me to take this opportunity because it has not sunk in. I thank God, everyone at Ford, the SABC and Ukhozi FM. When we put in work to try and assist people some of the things we come across are painful, but seeing as we now have this platform we will use it to influence and change people’s lives,” Msweli said.

A dedicated presenter and traffic broadcaster on one of the country’s biggest radio stations, Msweli has also dedicated his life to philanthropy working with KZN MEC for Human Settlements Jomo Sibiya to assist the most needy throughout the province.

“Basically as Halfway Ford Port Shepstone, we have been moved by the recent developments with Ayanda being in the deep rural areas helping the poorest of the poor, the voice of the voiceless,” said Halfway Ford COO, Sicelo Nyandeni.

“This is not about us, nor is it about him, but it’s about the people who don’t have a voice. The people that are poor, the people who are struggling, we need him to be out there to help them to get to the relevant departments for a better life,” he added.
