Leap of faith for popular Marialys
Even though she is excited on starting a new adventure outside of the mid-South Coast, Marialys said that she will definitely miss her comfort zone – sunny Scottburgh.
Marialys Le Juge De Segrais, an employee at The Local Choice Pharmacy in Scottburgh (formerly known as Scott Street Pharmacy), has decided after much consideration to officially retire at the end of this month.
What started out as an idea to relocate homes, for both Marialys and her daughter Mechelle to Clansthal, has now changed into a leap of faith to relocate completely to Hillcrest.

Marialys has had 30 years service to Scott Street Pharmacy/The Local Choice Pharmacy. She worked in the admin department dealing with customers accounts and with the medical aids.
“I want to take this opportunity to thank the community of Scottburgh for the support, laughter and happiness over the years,” she said.
“I loved the personal interactions with my customers which gave me a purpose and it is these wonderful people who kept me going as 30 years really is a long time. Many changes I have seen, many experiences I have encountered and many losses I have mourned, but I have many beautiful memories to carry me through,” she said.
Marialys wishes to thank her colleagues from the bottom of her heart for keeping her grounded over the years and refers to them as her family because of their tight bonds.
“It was amazing working with you all and I wish everyone and The Local Choice Pharmacy everything of the very best going forward,” said Marialys.
Even though she is excited on starting a new adventure outside of the mid-South Coast, Marialys said that she will definitely miss her comfort zone – sunny Scottburgh.
A new life and home awaits Marialys, Mechelle, Darin (future son-in-law) and Madisen (grand-fur-baby) in the Valley of 1000 hills.
Mechelle, who will be celebrating a birthday next week on the 21st, said that having her mum live with her is going to be the best birthday gift she could have ever asked for.
Her last day at the pharmacy will be the September 30.
