Merlewood Secondary celebrates Arbor week

Merlewood Secondary was gifted an indigenous tree to be planted at the school as part of the country’s mission to raise awareness about the importance of trees.

Thobeka Nkosiyane, a teacher at Merlewood Secondary was thrilled to receive a tree donated to the school by Genesis in honour of national Arbor week.

Arbor week was celebrated during the first week of September.
