Dancers wow shoppers at mall’s wellness week

Many parents were happy to have this platform for their children to perform again and the older dancers were also thrilled to put on a show for the shoppers.

A successful wellness week was hosted at Southcoast Mall last week.

Dance studios, Ruth Jakeman’s Studio of Dance and Dance Inline were excited to showcase their work, and hopefully recruited more dancers. Many parents were happy to have this platform for their children to perform again and the older dancers were also thrilled to put on a show for the shoppers.

‘I love Boobies’ held a breast cancer awareness exhibition which was an opportunity to raise funds by selling their merchandise; Onelife Fitness Centre Shelly Beach offered a month’s free membership in a competition that included burning calories on their assault bike; Chantel Welsh held Pilates classes; and Yoga classes was conducted by hoHM Yoga @ Wellness Sanctuary.

Children also had a platform to show their dance skills at the wellness week.

Small businesses set up Spring décor displays for free in the first week of September, allowing them an opportunity to showcase their creativity and talent. They were Romantic Moments, Simply Maseeha, and Everything but the ring – all had many calls from shoppers enquiring about their services.

According to the mall’s marketing manager, Sanitha Amod the South Coast has been suffering from the Covid-19 impact and the July unrest, and small businesses need all the help they can get, so the mall offered assistance with free advertising.
