Raeh Harding from the Umkomaas area has shown that even a simple act of kindness can make a meaningful difference.

The 10-year-old, who is also an avid surfer and talented dancer, recently cut her long hair and donated her ponytail to the Rainbow Oncology Centre in Amanzimtoti.

It will help provide a wig for someone who has lost their hair while undergoing cancer treatment.

“I want to encourage others to spread love and kindness to each other, and especially to those who are going through difficult times,” said Raeh.

“Donating your hair can help make someone feel special, and that’s what matters most.”

Through her kind gesture, Raeh hopes to inspire other community members to consider donating their hair and supporting people facing cancer.

Her generous act has been described by many as a heart-warming reminder that kindness has no age limit – and that one ponytail can bring confidence, comfort and hope to someone in need.
