Senior citizens club’s heritage is to give

Members, family and friends have all collected and donated to hospice, for which CEO Neil McDonald is extremely grateful.

Sheila Govindan, chairman of the Chatswood Senior Citizens Club in Chatsworth, mentioned that their heritage is simply ‘to give and give and give’.

The club has been supporting Khanya Hospice for a number of years now – and this year it is no different.

Members, family and friends have all collected and donated to hospice, for which CEO Neil McDonald is extremely grateful.

“We know there are people who give out of the little that they have, but it is our heritage and we were taught to give always,” explained Sheila.

“And we give with a grateful and thankful heart.”

Khanya Hospice recently celebrated its 36th anniversary and has looked after and cared for thousands of patients through the years without any government funding, but through kind donations like this.
