Creston College learners took first, second and third places in the recent National Ithemba Essay Competition.

The topic was ‘What does hope mean to me?’

English high schools category winners are as follows.

First prize: Anela Vundla (Creston College) and Merique Pillay, Creston College (sharing R3000 thus R1500 each).

Second prize: Kayise Khumalo (Grantleigh) and Dallin Naicker, Creston College (sharing R2000 thus R1000 each).

Third prize: Joel Janneker (Curro Langebaan) and Mirthav Lachman, Creston College (sharing R1000 thus R500 each).
