#Imademymark – Families and first-time voters make their mark

The Herald took to the streets to ask the residents of Margate how their voting experience went today.

The general talk on the street is that people want the government of the day to deliver basic services. Here is what the voters said at a voting station in Margate.

Bulelwa Nqambi

Bulelwa Nqambi:

It was very exciting. This government will renew everything now. They will look after people and will give them a better life.  Also, look after our youth with regards to unemployment and everything else.

Paul van Pannier, Bongi Nxumalo and Judi van Pannier.

Bongi Nxymalo:

Everyone was very friendly, and it was great experience and very exciting!

Our voting experience went well. We have come to vote and put pressure of the current government to deliver their mandate to the people.  For his son, Philasande (20) it was his first time, and he admits that he had the ‘first time voting’ jitters.

It went very well. Everyone is very friendly and polite. There was a lekker vibe! I’m voting for peace in SA, and a positive future for all.

I’m a first time voter! If you don’t vote you can’t complain. Every vote counts.
