Dagga and toy gun recovered in operation

Police spokesman Sergeant Sibu Ncane said it was a successful and fruitful operation which resulted in four men being arrested for loitering.

A recent joint bush clearance operation in Ramsgate was hailed a success.

Ramsgate sector commander Constable Chantel Young together with Ray Nkonyeni Municipality Law Enforcement, Ramsgate Community Policing Forum, security companies and community volunteers conducted a joint bush clearance operation to target the vagrants sleeping in the area.

Police spokesman Sergeant Sibu Ncane said it was a successful and fruitful operation which resulted in four men being arrested for loitering.

They were released on warning.

“Dagga, a toy gun and housebreaking implements were recovered. The illegal structures were destroyed,” he said. Margate station commander, Brigadier William Slabbert thanked all who participated and encouraged the public to report any suspicious activities around their respective communities.
