Non-profits benefit from generous grocery donation

Neil McDonald, CEO of Khanya Hospice, explained that hospice has also taken care of patients who had family members working at Sappi and locally in the greater eThekwini area.

Sappi Saiccor recently donated groceries to five non-profit organisations working in the area.

One of the NPOs was Khanya Hospice of Umkomaas. Hospice has been in the area for 36 years and has taken care of many patients over the years.

Neil McDonald, CEO of Khanya Hospice, explained that hospice has also taken care of patients who had family members working at Sappi and locally in the greater eThekwini area.

The donated groceries will be used to make smaller grocery hampers which can be shared with more patients and their needy families.

“This donation will enable us to give families some food during the festive season,” said McDonald.
