Merlewood Secondary School held its annual awards day last week Thursday where learners were thrilled to be acknowledged for their academic achievements.
The school hosted guest speakers who encouraged learners to continue working hard through their inspiring speeches.
At this prestigious ceremony, learners received trophies, medals and refreshments to acknowledge and celebrate their hard work.
While each learner in attendance achieved pleasing results, it was Grade 12 learner, Zimasa Sigede who truly stole the show.
The school congratulates Zimasa on receiving numerous awards including the coveted dux award and is eagerly awaiting her final examination results.
Merlewood Secondary hopes to see all its learners continue to strive for excellence in all that they do.
