Boy (11) drowns while swimming near Hibberdene

It has been a busy season for rescue teams.

Rescue teams searched for the body of a 11-year-old boy who was swept out to sea yesterday (Monday) while out swimming.

Port Shepstone K9 Search and Rescue together with Medevac searched extensively for the missing boy between Hibberdene and Mtwalume.

Rudi Prinsloo of Medevac said they searched for a hour-and-a-half, but had to call off the search due to the weather conditions. The search will continue.
