Association predicts favourable business outlook

There are a lot of new, upmarket business and franchises opening in Margate which will hopefully help get business going again.

The Margate Business Association (MBA) experienced a positive trade outlook for November/December 2021

“Despite Covid-19, Margate experienced a great season and businesses are very happy with the outcome thereof,” said MBA media liaison, Surina Smuts.

The association intends to positively influence local businesses in the area in 2022 by getting them involved in the changes and growth of Margate, and by asking their advice in order to upgrade security and solving problems.

According to Smuts, the outlook in terms of business in the area for 2022 looks favourable.

“There are a lot of new, upmarket business and franchises opening in Margate and we know of a few more coming. This is what the area needs in order to get business going again, and 2022 is the start of great success for Margate,” added Smuts.
