Leave to appeal denied for convicted tow truck driver Adamson

It is unclear at this stage as to whether or not the tow truck driver will now take his appeal to the high court.

A week after being handed a 12 year jail sentence for kidnapping, tow truck driver Rowan Adamson (35) of Margate was back in court with an application for leave to appeal his sentence.

The appeal was brought yesterday (Wednesday) to the Izingloweni Magistrate’s Court by Adamson’s attorney Kingsley du Plessis.

However, Magistrate Levien Yengopal denied the appeal.

It is unclear at this stage as to whether or not Adamson will now take his appeal to the high court.
