New car for lucky winner
The big event, hosted by local comedienne, Nonto R, was the culmination of a three-month national campaign which ran over the festive season and was Pedros’ biggest giveaway to date.
The Pedros head office in Newlands East was abuzz with excitement for the Viva Vivo Prize Draw as over 100 staff members, suppliers, partners and guests eagerly waited to see which of the three lucky finalists would drive away in a brand-new car recently.
The area was decked out with balloons, a red carpet, and food and drink stalls, as a VW Polo Vivo worth over R220 000 took centre stage.
The big event, hosted by local comedienne, Nonto R, was the culmination of a three-month national campaign which ran over the festive season and was Pedros’ biggest giveaway to date.
Three lucky ladies – Naadhira Yusuf and Pavithri Jaggernath from Durban, and Zamazulu Makaula who was flown in from JHB – were randomly selected from the pool of over 38 000 entrants from around the country, and waited with bated breath and nervous anticipation as they each randomly chose a large, helium-filled balloon and then popped it to receive their key. Of course, only one key would unlock the car and as it turned out – that key belonged to Pavithri Jaggernath!
Although understandably disappointed, the two runner-ups did not go home empty handed – they each received an amazing Pedros hamper complete with vouchers and other goodies.
