‘Mad March’ sale at Spillers charity shop
Funds will be raised for three charities – Hibiscus Animal Welfare, Harmony Hill Rescue Haven and Cats Cradle.
There will be a ‘Mad March’ sale at the charming Three Charities at Spillers Shop at Spillers Wharf in Port Shepstone.
Books, CDs, DVDs, linen, clothes, picture frames and jewellery will be on sale.
Three Charities at Spillers as the name implies, will raise funds for three charities – Hibiscus Animal Welfare, Harmony Hill Rescue Haven and Cats Cradle.
Penny Taylor of Harmony Hill Rescue Haven and her team took over the Spiller’s Girls’ Charity Shop at Spiller’s Wharf in 2020.
“We help to feed seven feral cat colonies and the rescues at our kennels at Harmony Hill Rescue Haven,” said Taylor.
There are plenty of second hand treasures to find at the delightful little shop.
Thembakazi Ntsetsha, who is Taylor’s right hand lady in the shop alongside Michelle Hodgkinson, says they have regular friendly customers who visit and support them.
“Customers from Louisiana, Oshabeni, Gamalakhe and various areas from the coast often pop in to find a bargain or three. Our books are the most popular sale item, and some of our customers buy the books and once finished reading return them,” explained Ntsetsha.
The women thanked the community for their ongoing support.
Taylor welcomed any second hand items for the shop, except non-working computer and electrical appliances.
