Live music event to create awareness of conservancy

Lovely prizes to be won on the night.

The Ivungu (Uvongo) Conservancy together with Douglas Mitchell Sports Bar and Family Restaurant are hosting a live music event this Friday (4th), kicking off at 18:00.

Everyone is welcome, it is a free entrance event aimed at creating awareness about what the conservancy is about and what it does for Uvongo village. ‘Four Beats in a Bar’ – a local, contemporary four-piece band – will be providing the music for the night.

The conservancy will be offering wonderful raffles and spot prizes on the night.
This will include a beautiful piece of jewellery kindly donated by goldsmith and Uvongo resident, Paul Nel, as well as a fabulous prize of a scenic helicopter flip thanks to Hendrik and Danielle Ludick, local helicopter pilots from Airtrack Aviation at Margate Airport.

The Ivungu (Uvongo) Conservancy is a non-profit organisation with an energetic team of nature loving volunteers who care about the natural environment in which we live.

They help to protect, maintain and monitor all green areas, with particular focus on the Ivungu River, the forest walk along the river, the beaches and surrounds.

There will of course be a cash bar and food available at the venue on the night. For more info, call Sarah Unsworth on 083 3313866.
