Scouts reaffirm promises at founder’s service

1st Margate Scouts gathered as a district at Fairfell and reaffirmed the Scout, Cub and Meerkat promises.

The 1st Margate Scouts, Cubs and Meerkats went to Durban to attend the BP service last Sunday.

This is a very special occasion for Scouts as it is a day the founder, Lord Baden-Powell is honoured. 1st Margate Scouts gathered as a district at Fairfell and reaffirmed the Scout, Cub and Meerkat promises.

It was followed by a picnic with the other groups from the district. It was a wonderful opportunity to get to know fellow Scouts, Cubs and Meerkats. Carl, Tarryn, Tristan, Travis, Nick aka ‘Jackal’ Morton, Dewald Roets, Tegan and Kendra van Schalkwyk represented 1st Margate Scout Group.

Scouts, Cubs and Meerkats were allowed to wear their uniforms to their respective schools last Friday, in Lord Baden-Powell’s honour.

Tristan and Travis Eva were proudly wearing theirs as well as Enhle Mkhize and Ashleigh and Landyn Feyt.
