Margate Primary recently received a request for older fiction and reference books for a reading project in KwaNzimakwe, which is run by Ntombenhle Mkhize.
The school was happily able to help and eight boxes of books were donated to this needy cause.
Grade 5 through to Grade 7 are currently busy writing their own mini books as part of their library and computer lessons.
Some excellent work has been produced so far.
The Grade 5s have also made their own skeletons for their natural science project.
The junior primary grades experienced its first taste of hockey and mini cricket which was played against other schools.
Although they had very little time to practice their skills, all the learners performed their best and had a wonderful time.
They are eagerly awaiting the return matches.
