Certificates, laptops for top matric achievers

Fifteen of Umdoni‘s top achievers from the matric class of 2021 were honoured and awarded certificates and laptops at the Scottburgh town hall last Friday.

The former learners were presented these gifts by the municipality.

Deputy mayor Cllr Mthandeni Mbutho congratulated the top achievers, their parents and teachers on the great work last year.

Cllr Mbutho went on to add that top achievers such as these need to be honoured as they are the country’s future and bring hope for better days.

“We are fully behind you as you start your academic journey in the the higher institutions of learning and wish you all well,” he said.
