Senior Primary enjoys visit from NSRI

Learners were shown how using easily accessible items.

Port Shepstone Senior Primary’s Grade 4 and Grade 5 learners were treated to an informative, interactive session on water safety by Nkazimulo Nyawose from the National Sea Rescue Institute (NSRI).

Learners were shown how using easily accessible items such as a towel or bottle, can be used to assist a victim of potential drowning which was followed by a CPR demonstration.

Learners left the session equipped with the knowledge of emergency numbers and ways to keep safe while swimming.

The sport and extra mural programme as well as remedial afternoon lessons ends this week.

The school urges parents to support children in their study programmes at home.
