Police seize heroin, cocaine in Masinenge

Two men aged between 22 and 38 were caught with drugs by Margate Drug and Rapid Response teams at Masinenge informal settlement last Friday.

They were arrested and charged for possession and dealing in drugs.

Police spokesperson Sergeant Sibu Ncane said heroin capsules and white rock cocaine was confiscated by police.

They appeared in the Ramsgate Magistrate’s Court on Monday this week, and the case has been postponed for further investigation.

The Margate Acting Station Commander, Colonel Ntombizanele Mzotho commended the members for the good arrests and encouraged the community to continue to report crime.
