International buyers show interest

The group that visited from Johannesburg consisted of Kenyan, Argentinian, German and Brazilian buyers who were hosted at the Lake Eland Game Reserve in Oribi Gorge.

Ugu South Coast Tourism (USCT), along with the KZN Convention Bureau welcomed national and international visitors to the South Coast recently, as buyers from the Meetings Africa Trade Show made their way to the South Coast to see what it had to offer.

Held at the Sandton Convention Centre in Johannesburg, Meetings Africa is the continent’s biggest trade show for the business events industry. It attracted more than 300 quality, vetted buyers from around the world who engaged for two days to do intensive business with the best that the continent has to offer.

“The buyers who joined us saw the South Coast and were interested to see what we are all about. Tourism has many facets and business is one of them,” said Vanessa Gounden, the head of USCT marketing.

After enjoying lunch at the restaurant, the group saw the famous gorge swing bridge, before taking on the 4km zip line through the gorge.

“We welcome all buyers to come and see what we have to offer for all business tourism, we have world class conference centres and facilities for team building as well,” added Gounden.
