Umdoni’s refuse collection expected to resume tomorrow (March 25)

The municipality will also be working on clearing the backlog both on kerbside and skip collection concurrently.

Umdoni Municipality residents are frustrated with the current refuse removal services in the area as garbage is not being collected efficiently for the past several days.

The municipality addressed this matter and confirmed on their official Facebook page, Umdoni Municipality News, that they have in fact been experiencing challenges in the collection of refuse in the past week.

The public statement mentioned that the municipality is currently working to ensure that refuse collection services are restored and commits to resolving the challenges faced by the Refuse Collection Management Department no later than today (March 24).

Refuse collection is expected to resume tomorrow (March 25).

The municipality’s communications department added that the municipality will also be working on clearing the backlog both on kerbside and skip collection concurrently.
