Creston’s Interact Club lends helping hand

A collection drive was held to put together care packages which will be distributed to retirement homes and local people who need some help.

The Interact Club of Creston College has completed its first project for 2022.

The collection drive was to create care packages for the elderly and the needy.

Each care package contains soap, a toothbrush and toothpaste, a face cloth and hand lotion.

The care packages will be distributed to retirement homes and local people who need some help.

Meanwhile, Creston learners completed the International Benchmark Tests in English, mathematics and science towards the end of last year.

The results have recently been released showing that these learners have performed well above both the national and international averages.

Grade 4 learners, Blake Longhurst, Neha Satishkumar, Peter Koegelenberg, Oliver Smith and Alek Wagner were awarded certificates as they achieved at the highest percentile in these tests.

Alulo Flatela and Cejay Naidoo in Grade 8 passed the Mathematics Olympiad and will proceed to the second round.
