Margate detective retires after 35 years

He reminded members still in the service to be honest, work diligently and stay committed.

Margate Saps bids farewell to Warrant Officer Richard Zibuse Dlezi after 35 years in the police service.

He spent most of his policing career in the detective environment.

He embarked on his policing career in 1987 in Hammanskraal where he served with the Riot Unit also known as Unit 19.

He joined the Margate Saps family in 1991 where he worked until his retirement. He investigated serious and complex cases and secured hefty sentences. It was an environment he thoroughly enjoyed.

Warrant Officer Dlezi is grateful to his family, colleagues and management for the love and support during his long journey. He reminded members still in the service to be honest, work diligently and stay committed.

Margate Saps Branch Commander, Colonel David Nala congratulated Warrant Officer Dlezi and wished him all the best in his well deserved retirement. His immense knowledge and experience will be missed.
