Temple observes Chitra Paruvam Kavady

The community is welcome to attend the prayers.

The Umbango Sri Siva Soobramoniar Temple will observe its Chitra Paruvam Kavady from this Thursday (7th) until Saturday, April 16.

The temple’s Good Friday prayer will be observed on Friday, April 15 from 06:30; Chitra Paruvam Kavady will be observed on Saturday, April 16 from 06:30 and Shree Hanuman Jayanti will also be observed on the same day at 15:00.

The community is welcome to attend the prayers.

The following Kavady Obayam times and procedures will be followed for 10 days:

* On the flag hoisting day (7th), hawan will start at 17:00, on Saturday at 15:00 and Sunday at 17:30. On weekdays the hawan will begin at 17:30.

* Kavady bookings will be open from the flag hoisting day at the temple.

The temple chariot will go out to the districts of Port Shepstone for devotees to offer their prayers this Sunday (10th) from 09:00.

All other communications will be announced daily, alternatively contact one of the executive members of the temple.

Pre- packed prasadam will be served daily.
