Police appeal to anyone that can assist with information to contact Detective Sergeant Van Niekerk on 082 3341046 or 039 3129800.

An armed robbery at a residence in Uvongo resulted in a gun and ammunition being stolen.

Two men, apparently dressed in navy golf shirts and pants with Department of Health badges on their shirts arrived to inspect a former patient of Port Shepstone Regional Hospital.

It’s further believed that once inside the house, the men pulled a gun on the occupant in the cottage and robbed him of a wallet, cellphone, gun and ammunition.

Police spokesperson Sibu Ncane said that Margate Saps is investigating a case of house robbery, and no arrests have been made yet.
