Three people died when two light motor vehicles were involved in a crash on the N2 highway near Hibberdene just before 11.30pm last night (April 10).
Robert Mckenzie, from KwaZulu-Natal Emergency Services, said paramedics and emergency services were on the scene.
“The cause of the crash is unknown at this stage, and will be investigated,” said Mckenzie.
Glen Preston, from Medevac, who was also on scene, said in addition to the three deaths, one person was in critical condition and had been transported to hospital.

He confirmed that a further five people were injured and also taken to hospital.
