WATCH: Batstone’s Drift low level bridge totally flooded

South Coasters are urged to stay off the roads until the heavy rain abates.

The low level bridge at Batstone’s Drift at Lower Albersville near Port Shepstone is an absolute ‘no go’ zone at the moment.

The Mzimkhulu river is in full flow as flooding threatens the province.

In particular, the Sugar Mill is dangerous, where a section of the road and embankment has collapsed, not far from the temple, heading towards the low level bridge.

Motorists are advised to be ultra cautious when in the area and use alternative routes.
