WEATHER UPDATE: Call emergency services if it’s life threatening – KZN South Coast

Please save these numbers so you have them handy in case of an emergency.

Selvan Chetty, chairman of Tweni Community Police Forum (CPF) says volunteers have been working all night to respond to calls for assistance.

 
“We understand people’s anxiety, but please before you call , make sure that the information you give us is correct. Especially your address and the nature of your emergency. Many calls attended to were not life threatening and resulted in delays in reaching others.”
 
Please also take note that all Law Enforcement, Fire and Rescue as well as CPF volunteers, are inundated with calls from across Ray Nkonyeni Municipal areas.
 
Chetty said their response is prioritised and determined according to the reports they receive.

“If you are in doubt, kindly use your local CPF contact person and security service provider to help you assess your particular situation and then call for assistance.”
 
He said they are appealing for cooperation so that they can reach out to the most urgent needs, to save lives.
