Our sin has been paid in full
He shall see of the travail of His soul, and shall be satisfied: by His knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many; for He shall bear their iniquities. (Isa 53:10-11)

(Mark 14:32-36) … saith He unto them, My soul is exceeding sorrowful unto death: tarry ye here, and watch. And he went forward a little, and fell on the ground, and prayed that, if it were possible, the hour might pass from him. And he said, Abba, Father, all things are possible unto thee; take away this cup from me: nevertheless not what I will, but what thou wilt.
On the night that Jesus was arrested, He was in great anguish and sorrow, so much so that sweat literally poured from His body like great drops of blood. Why was Jesus in such intense agony, pain, distress and torment?
The reason for His anguish was that Jesus as a pure and sinless soul, took on the past, present and future sins so that through His sacrifice on the cross of Calvary, all of humanity may receive redemption from sin and reconciliation with God the Father. Yet it pleased the Lord to bruise Him; He hath put Him to grief: when thou shalt make His soul an offering for sin, He shall see His seed, He shall prolong His days, and the pleasure of the Lord shall prosper in His hand. He shall see of the travail of His soul, and shall be satisfied: by His knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many; for He shall bear their iniquities. (Isa 53:10-11)
Jesus went willfully, purposefully and meekly to the cross for all of humanity. Today, irrespective of your circumstances, He remains just a whisper away waiting to embrace you, love you and restore you. Don’t be discouraged. Try Him and see that the Lord is good and His mercies endure forever.
