Passover feast serves as a reminder of deliverance from destruction
Most of the experiences, feasts and events were all prophetic, communicating the message of Christ. Christ is the explanation of all things.

1 Corinthians 5 vs 7: Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Christ our Passover is sacrificed for us. (KJV)
Christ is the message of the scriptures. He is the main content of the prophecies of the prophets. He is the revelation of the mysteries of the Old Testament. He is the reality of the typologies, the explanation of the symbols and meaning of the figures of speech. The sufferings of Christ and his glorification have been the communication of God from the beginning of time. Most of the experiences, feasts and events were all prophetic, communicating the message of Christ. Christ is the explanation of all things.
The Passover feast is one of the Jewish feasts that communicates the message of Christ. The Passover feast was a Jewish feast done to remember their salvation or deliverance from destruction and death in Egypt. Moses instructed the killing of a lamb and to use the blood on their doorpost to prevent the destroyer from destroying them. This was a typology of what was yet to take place in reality. It was a typology of salvation to come.
From the epistles, we can understand the revelation behind this typology. From our opening text, it is emphatically stated that Christ is our Passover. This means that Christ is our deliverance from the judgment of sin or death. What was practised using elements or symbols is now fulfilled in Christ. The man in Christ is therefore not expected to practice the Passover feast anymore using bread and wine. What was symbolic is now a reality in Christ. Faith in Christ is our salvation from the judgment of sin or death.
