Conservancy announces winner of helicopter flip

With much delight and popping of bubbly, Ken Baker from Uvongo, was the lucky recipient of this prize and was phoned on the spot.

Ivungu River Conservancy members gathered at the Margate Airport for a fun, live-stream video draw, for the winner of the helicopter flip for three people last Friday afternoon.

Three weeks ago, the conservancy held an awareness evening at Douglas Mitchell Sport Bar where the community were encouraged to join the conservancy to help with ongoing projects to help keep the village green.

Projects include spraying and removal of alien invasive plants, maintaining and putting in user-friendly signage, tagging trees, removal of snares to name but a few of the projects they are involved in.

With much delight and popping of bubbly, Ken Baker from Uvongo, was the lucky recipient of this prize and was phoned on the spot.

The prize was generously donated by Airtrack Aviation.
