Police prayer service honours loved ones

A candle was lit to remember all loved ones lost.

Several Saps members from the Ugu District were part of a special Easter prayer service at the Norwegian Settlers Church inn Izotsha Road in Marburg last Wednesday.

The officers braved the weather to be at the event where Reverend Nkosiyazi Ngema of Saps Employee Health and Wellness directed the programme.

The Ugu District Commissioner, Major General Sethenya Nxamagele addressed those present on the importance of prayer.

Police then prayed about the challenges they experience in the ongoing fight against crime and gave their condolences to families who have lost police members and to people in local communities who have lost loved ones as a result of the flooding.
