Pipeline repairs commence for mid-South Coast water supply

Some of the affected areas include Pennington, Amahlongwa, Amandawe, Scottburgh south and central and Freeland Park.

Ugu leadership, led by Mayor Phumlile Mthiyane, is currently inspecting the South Coast major bulk pipeline repairs in Isipingo.

That’s per a statement released on the municipality’s Facebook page earlier today (21st).

Affected areas include Pennington, Amahlongwa, Amandawe, Scottburgh south and central and Freeland Park.

It was mentioned that water pipeline repairs have commenced today and an 800mm diameter x 200m long steel pipe is to be replaced.

Fabrication and welding of pipes onsite is also underway.

According to Ugu, the repairs are expected to be completed within the next five days, as per the team onsite.
