225 heroin capsules and mandrax taken off the streets by cops in Gamalakhe

Gamalakhe Station Commander, Captain Noluvuyo Nomaqhiza thanked Sergeant Dawie Malan and Constable Mzomuhle Shange for immediately acting on information.

Police arrested two men, aged 25 and 35 who were in possession of heroin capsules and Mandrax.

On Sunday, April 24 Gamalakhe Saps Crime Prevention were busy conducting patrols when they received valuable information regarding drugs at Esikhaleni in Gamalakhe.

Police spokesperson Sergeant Sibu Ncane said police searched a premises and arrested two men aged 25 and 35 who were in possession of the drugs.

They were charged with possession of drugs and appeared in the Ramsgate Magistrate’s Court yesterday (Monday).

Gamalakhe Station Commander, Captain Luvuyo Nomaqhiza thanked Sergeant Dawie Malan and Constable Mzomuhle Shange for immediately acting on information.

The public is encouraged to continue to report criminal activities in their communities.
