Fun run raises thousands for hospice

Deborah thanked all who took part and donated.

There was a fantastic turnout of 124 participants at the Hospice Charity Fun Run/Walk/Cycle which started and finished at Uvongo pier.

After a miserable week of flooding and chaos, the weather changed and it was a beautiful fresh morning, with the sun shining through the clouds after the devastating rain and floods.

So far, as per Deborah Berridge’s tallying, some R14 000 has been raised for South Coast Hospice.

Organiser Deborah Berridge explains the rules before the run/walk/cycle.

Of this around half was donated before the event, with about the same amount coming in on the day.

Deborah thanked all who took part and donated.

She still has key rings and bangles left over if anyone missed out and still wanted to donate.
