REWARD: Community in search of ‘Thugin’ to keep town tidy

A reward has been offered to nab the person responsible for damaging signboards.

A reward of R5000 is being offered to anyone with information that leads to the arrest of the individual or people who spray-painted graffiti style, new Tidy Town welcome board in St Mike’s.

It appears that the same graffiti artist has also tagged other signboards and dustbins in and around Uvongo.

Stephen Herbst of Tidy Town Shelly Beach to Margate said this type of behavior is not what the South Coast needs right now.
“You are not an enemy of Tidy Towns Shelly to Margate, you are a FAN!” said Herbst on Facebook.

A local, Rudie Botes could not stand the sight of the defaced board and took upon himself to clean it up and the end result is that it’s sparkling clean again.

Sparkling new!

“Don’t mess with our Tidy Towns Shelly to Margate family, we worked hard and won’t give up,” said Herbst.

If anyone knows anything about this, contact Herbst on 082 4531133.
