May Fair is this Sunday

Pat McKrill, a well-known herpetologist, will be MC and bring his bag of “slithery tricks”.

It’s finally time for the highly anticipated May Fair this Sunday, May 1.

Entry fee at the driving range, Pennington is R50 per car and the fair will run from 09:00 to 15:00.

May Fair is to give you, your family and the family dog a wonderful day out, and the opportunity to go home with fabulous prizes. Among them, a lucky draw where the main prize is a boat trip for four worth R1800!

Herpetologist Pat McKrill (right) has shared his love for snakes with people of all ages for many years and is expected to share more knowledge at May Fair.

There’ll be a surprise treasure hunt, entertainment galore from face painting to egg and spoon races.

Be prepared for the fabulous science magician ‘Dr G’ who will take to the arena at 10:00.

There’ll be a dog and owner look-alike competition, best dressed dog and best dog trick.

This in addition to over 90 stalls, offering everything from pancakes to glass jewellery, cushions to clothes, leatherwork to pottery.

There will also be a jumping castle, paintball tunnel and Tommy the Train.

Car fanatics can look forward to seeing new and classic cars and a 4×4 ramp which will show off the very best of vehicles.

Dr Megandhren Govender AKA Dr G will entertain the crowd with his combination of science and magic.

There will be security on site and Pennington Community Watch will oversee the gate takings and parking. Entrance is at the gate opposite Selborne, on the R102.

The organisers extend massive thanks to the sponsors who have made such generous donations to this community event which were much needed after the long dark days of
Covid and the flood.
