Both the victim and his fiancée give their sincere thanks to all those who assisted on the day.
A local paraglider (who wishes to remain anonymous) is lucky to be alive after he had an accident at Scottburgh beach recently.
Lifeguards and paramedics swiftly attended to the man and assisted where they could.
After the man was removed from the beach and rushed off for further medical treatment, many people remained concerned and sought feedback regarding his well-being.
On Monday this week, the man’s fiancée stated that he is now doing much better and on the road to recovery.
“He will be wearing a brace for a while and is expected to make a full recovery in about two months, and hopes to be back in the air soon,” she said.
Details of the accident cannot be disclosed at this stage in respect of the victim who is still recovering from this traumatic event.
Both the victim and his fiancée give their sincere thanks to all those who assisted on the day.
“We are very grateful to the paramedics on scene, the lifeguards, Blue Marlin Hotel manager and bystanders for their brilliant kindness, precautions taken and treatment,” said the woman.
“I’m still left speechless with what an amazing and kind community Scottburgh is for helping my partner and for how well-trained and hands-on everyone was.”
