Five year sentence for housebreaking
He threatened to physically hurt a 13-year-old child.
Thabiso Gumede (24) was found guilty of housebreaking and theft and sentenced to five years imprisonment in the Port Shepstone Regional Court recently.
On April 8 he forcefully broke open the door of a residence in Ngwazi Street, Gamalakhe and threatened to physically hurt a 13-year-old child.
Gumede fled after taking cash but was arrested shortly thereafter by police. The investigating officer in the case was Detective Sergeant Mlungisi Jabe of Gamalakhe Detective Service.
