Good support for welfare’s charity drive

Child welfare thanks all for their support during their recent charity drive.

Child Welfare SA Port Shepstone celebrated Freedom Day with a bit, or rather a lot of twists and a host of kicks and punches at its recent charity drive.

Titled the Charity Kickback Challenge a top notch performance by the Powerflex team kept guests in fitness mode with a Taebo workout marathon.

The objective of the event was to prove one’s mental strength against the demanding drills of Powermaster, Sean Pillay.

The mini-marathon lasted a whopping four hours and those taking part were treated to an entertaining and surprisingly informative Capoeira, Afro-Brazilian martial arts, demonstration performed by Treinador Shane Conning of The Capoeira Academy and his troop during the break.

The performance by this local academy was breathtaking to both young and old, as the little warriors moved about so flexibly. The fitness fans got back into action and at the end prizes were handed out to nine lucky winners.
