Menzi did very well in the U14 boys division while Zamokuhle held her own in the U12 girls division.

The vision of Hlanganani Preparatory School is to provide each child with the opportunity to reach his or her full potential, in academics, culture and sport.

With this in mind, the school is proud of two emerging surfing stars, Zamokuhle Gcaba (Grade 5) and Menzi Cele (Grade 7).

They were recently selected to represent Ugu District in a Grom Games champs in Durban, hosted by Surfing South Africa and sponsored by Sea Harvest.

Menzi did very well in the U14 boys division while Zamokuhle held her own in the U12 girls division.

Thanks were also extended to Genesis Wave of Hope Surfing Academy for teaching and mentoring the youngsters.
