Art appreciation session a jubilant affair
The standard of work, as well as the innovative styles on display, was exceptional.
The last Tuesday of every month is when local art club Art by the Sea hosts an art appreciation session, where artists celebrate their artistic labour of the past month.
That is when their paintings are put up on the display easel for positive critiquing by their fellow artists – in itself a training session of note.
The June session was a jubilant affair, filled with poetry readings, delectable snacks, and above all, good spirit and camaraderie.
The standard of work, as well as the innovative styles on display, was exceptional.
If this session is an indication of what will be showcased during the Club’s August Exhibition at the Margate Art Museum, the Lower South Coast art lovers are in for a wonderful surprise.
