It’s a life-changing experience for Mrs SA semi-finalist

Vumile Dlamini says she cannot wait to share her experiences with the world.

Port Shepstone’s Vumile Dlamini can now add the title of Mrs South Africa (SA) semi-finalist to her impressive resume.

Dlamini is one of 100 semi-finalists who recently participated in a jam-packed two-day conference filled with motivational talks, workshops, upskilling sessions, socialising and networking opportunities, and an introduction to the famous Mrs SA sisterhood.
Dlamini said this a life-changing experience. “I am very happy to be part of such an inspirational movement.”
Joani Johnson, CEO of Mrs SA, said,: “We are proud to work alongside so many strong, formidable, and inspirational married women, and to empower them through our pillars of community, self-development, and networking to be the leaders and social game-changers that we need in this country.”

“Our experienced mentors teach leadership, entrepreneurship, marketing, self-promotion, and self-discovery throughout the year to ensure that all participants have a truly life changing experience,” Johnson added.

Dlamini said she comes from a disadvantaged background and had little opportunities growing up. “After losing both my parents, I managed to cement my place in this world as an aspiring businesswoman, a professional nurse, a mother and a wife. Now all that remains is for me to share my experiences with the world and also learn from other women who come from a variety of backgrounds.”
As part of her journey, she hopes to obtain more experience and inspire others; especially young black women who are trying to make a name for themselves, against all odds.

This year, the casting panel was looking for women who have a keen interest in empowering others, display strong family values, and are passionate about making a difference in their community and the world.

“Dlamini fully embodies the values that Mrs SA holds most dear, and is representative of our tagline for the year: #EveryWoman. We look forward to going on this journey with her and her fellow sisters,” concludes Johnson.

The first-round of eliminations will be held in July where the Top 30 will be selected.
Vumile thanked all her supporters, husband, children, siblings, in-laws, and the people of Mawuleni for their continued love and support.
