Councillor Tessa Perryman, on behalf of the DA caucus, recently handed in a Notice of Motion for inclusion on the agenda for February’s council meeting.
The Notice of Motion will be debated on February 25, and thereafter, a decision will be taken.
It calls for Ray Nkonyeni Municipality to refund all ratepayers who were unfairly billed for refuse collection during the strike.
Perryman, of Ward 13, said she will give a report back (details and outcome) to the Herald shortly after the meeting.
“The Notice of Motion will be debated and voted on in Council,” she added.
