Experience more in a Chery Tiggo 7 Pro

It's a smooth, quiet and a comfortable ride in a well-finished interior with modern tech

I recently test drove the Chery Tiggo 7 Pro PHEV plug-in hybrid and was amazed by this Chinese brand, which has crafted a perfect family SUV with all the bells and whistles.

It is designed to deliver a premium and sophisticated feel, especially when compared to its segment competitors.

The Tiggo 7 PRO offers pure-EV range for daily commute and the potential for significant savings on fuel costs. It’s a smooth, quiet and comfortable ride in a well-finished interior with modern tech, and a surprisingly spacious cabin.

The powertrain is convincing, with a system designed to maintain battery levels via regenerative braking, and it offers strong overall range.

With 265 kW of power and 530 Nm of torque from its 1.5L turbo-petrol engine and dual electric motors, it achieves a combined fuel consumption of 4.9L/100km.

The PHEV system allows for substantial pure-electric driving, reducing fuel consumption significantly for daily commutes. I still had around 500km on the tank after driving the car for a week. Considering all the roadworks on the South Coast, the suspension effectively absorbs road imperfections, creating a quiet and comfortable cabin experience.

Also, the cabin features ample space and modern tech, including a panoramic camera, panoramic sunroof, wireless charging, and more. My colleague Ashika Ajudia found the built-in fragrance dispenser rather fascinating. “It has a fragrance to suit my mood or the weather, fresh when it’s too hot, spicy for the evenings and cold weather,” she added. The system is controlled via the vehicle’s infotainment system.

Overall, the Chery Tiggo 7 Pro offers strong performance, good fuel economy and a comfortable and relaxing driving experience with top class features.
