
A dog was seen carrying a decomposing human leg at Nongidi area in KwaMachi on July 31.
Members of Ezinqoleni Saps responded to the scene where they recovered the leg.
Police spokesperson Captain Petros Mpinge said the limb will be sent to the Forensic Pathologist Laboratory for DNA analysis.
An inquest case has been opened for investigation.
