Sihle Mnyandu (19) was sentenced to 15 years imprisonment for aggravated robbery in the Port Shepstone Magistrate’s Court recently.
In February, a 32-year-old man was threatened with a knife and firearm by two unknown men on Main Harding Road and robbed of his cellphone and personal possessions.
The two robbers fled towards Mkholombe, however, police patrolling nearby responded and arrested Mnyandu. His accomplice escaped.
Detective Sergeant Mzwandile Mzindle of Port Shepstone Detective Services was the investigating officer in the case.
